What's News in Early Childhood Education!
RIDE is pleased to announce the launch of the new RI Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) website, which can be found by visiting www.rields.com. These have replaced the 2003 Standards and have become effective this fall.
The Standards are the foundation of learning and teaching that takes place in our preschool classrooms at the Westerly Public Schools. Parents and caregivers of children in our classrooms will have the opportunity to participate in Family Engagement Activities related to the Standards. Our goal is to share the information related to Standards to families and to help increase child readiness for Kindergarten.
